The wires are only coated on the labial surface, reducing friction and improving sliding mechanics compared to fully coated archwires. The PTFE coating is just .0005%, so a true archwire size is achieved. The coating is resistant to staining and cracking, even if the archwire shape is changed.

All DB Micro-Coated Aesthetic archwires are individually packed and sealed in an autoclavable pack to protect your patients from cross contamination.
